Italy trips for 2012 are still being planned. We had such a great summer trip and really enjoyed our 2nd L'Eroica trip, so we will be repeating those for 2012. Other trips are in the works - specifically a Spring trip centered around the Giro d'Italia. Dates and locations for this trip are pending. Estate In Toscana - Summer in Tuscany Trip
Join us in July for a fantastic relaxing week in Tuscany! Not centered around a fixed cycling event, this trip promises to be a perfect, relaxing Italian holiday. Our goal on this trip is to practice the fine Italian art of 'il bel far niente' - the beauty of doing nothing. Of course, it's not really 'doing nothing' as Americans would translate that to mean. It's the beauty of doing something whilst looking as though you're doing nothing...a relaxed stroll through a piazza, people watching while eating gelato, a long bike ride around the tuscan hillsides, exploring small villages, watching the sun set over Siena as you sip Chianti. It's truly the essence of Italian living and truly how a vacation should be.
Based at a wonderful Villa at the center of the Chianti region, this trip promises to be memorable. As is our tradition, we have lots of great activities planned, but customize to our clients desires. Contact us for more information! Space is limited on this trip.
We had such a great time on our 2010 and 2011 L'Eroica Trip we are making this an annual event. L'Eroica, is a period cyclotouristic rally on the infamous Stradi Bianche (white gravel roads) of the Chianti region. Truly a unique event that takes a step back in time to the heroic early days of cycling. Amazing atmosphere and camaraderie. This tour will also be based out of a fantastic Tuscan Villa in the Chianti region and will include a tour of Castel Brolio, wine & olive oil tasting tours of the Ricasoli and Volpaia wineries, and much more. Dates are yet to be confirmed, but the race will be held on Sunday, October 7th. Tentative dates will be October 1st through October 8th to catch some wine harvest festivities.

Amgen Tour of California - Lake Tahoe Trip
Join the Bella Vita Vacations crew in Lake Tahoe, May 12th through 16, for America's biggest stage race and it's first TWO stages at the beautiful lake resort. Enjoy daily road and/or mtb rides around the lake's gorgeous mountain trails, walks along the beach, tour around the local scenery & sites and of course, the 2 stage finishes. We will be able to catch the action on stage 1 at mutiple locations around the course and ride over to the uphill finish at Northstar Resort. Stage 2 will start at nearby Squaw Valley. The Bella Vita Vacations Tahoe residence offers a fantastic filtered view of the lake and classic mountain-resort accommodations. Montepaschi Stradi Bianche Trip - Tuscany
Our first tour is planned for March 1st through 8th and will include watching the 1-day classic Montepaschi Stradi Bianche Toscana (formerly Monte Paschi Eroica). This is an amazing race that covers 190km of beautiful Tuscan countryside. What makes this race famous are the 57km contested over the Stada Bianche, the famous white gravel roads that traverse the region. The race also has a unique finish in Siena's Piazza del Campo. Siena also offers fantastic shopping and site-seeing opportunies. For a real shopping experience, the Prada Outlet store in nearby Montavarchi is a must. Our tour will be based out of a gorgeous villa in the heart of Tuscany's Ciantiwine region. This area provides amazing riding offering both hilly and flatter routes, as well as the Stada Bianche that criss cross the area. Aside from the great cycling, we will tour local castles, participate in wine & olive oil tastings at neighboring wineries, take part in authentic tuscan cooking classes and so much more. For example, Castel Brolio dates back to the early 12th century and is still a residence for the Ricasoli family and home to their winery. We will also do a wine tasting tour of the Volpaia Winery in nearby Radda in Chianti. This medival village and winery dates back to the year 1172 and is an amazing example of old wine-making tradition utilizing some surprising modern day technologies.

Our 2nd tour for 2010 is planned for May 13th through 17th and will include watching stage 7. What will make this stage infamous are the 2 10km-long stretches of Stada Bianche, the famous white gravel roads that traverse the region.
